SOC Leader Appreciation

Amanda Hertlein-Martin

Cheerleading proved to me that I am much more capable than I give myself credit and that I can accomplish hard things. The self-discipline that I learned through cheerleading has stayed with me throughout my adult life. Additionally, my team-friends from cheer are my friends forever. We depended on each other so much and continue to do so through SOC and in the greater community.”

Bianca Glenn

Cheer taught me to face my fear and go into new situations with a smile on my face. I have so many GREAT memories of both my time as a member of the Coupeville cheer team and as an officer of SOC. If I had one thing I would share about our program, it is that the program creates a lasting bond not only within the people in cheer, but with an entire community. Cheer is something in which I take great pride. So try to live in each moment, creating fond memories that will last a lifetime.”

Erica Bechard

Cheerleading helped me expand my mind and build confidence as a teenager. My advice to any cheerleader is to reflect on what cheerleading means to you. Apply that to the rest of your life. Be limitless, ask for help, and lean on your support system. In pursuing anything, go at your own pace and take breaks when you need. But never give up!
